November 26: Screening DIVE with discussion

Stichting Boerengroep and Foodsharing Wageningen en omgeving will screen the eye-opening movie Dive! (http://www.divethefilm.com/) from Jeremy Seifert for free in the Building with the clock. The film is about the live of Jeremy and his friends as dumpster divers in Los Angeles as well as how he tries to solve the issue of wasting food by supermarkets and the problems he encounters. Thereby he shows in an impressive way how much food is wasted and his view on how the food “shortage” could be solved. He has made this movie to make the society more aware of this wastage, in order to reduce it.

After the movie (at about 20.30) there will be a discussion. To this discussion shops and other in food i…nvolved companies will be invited.
During the following discussion the movie can be discussed and shops and other food involved companies can tell about their motivations to reduce food waste, concerns, solutions and problems they face. It’ll be completely up to you which subjects we’ll discuss and how much time we’ll spend on them.
