Join us for Farmer’s Tales episode 2: Solidarity Payment with Elske Hageraats and Ruben Mombarg.
Farmers’ tales are a bi-weekly lunch dialogue with farmers, where we explore various practices of food production.
For our second episode, Elske Hageraats will address the issue of how half of Dutch farmers have an income below the minimum income standard, and how she developed the concept of Solidarity Payment for a fair income for farmers, to make organic agriculture fair, sustainable and within reach for all farmers and consumers.
Ruben Mombarg will share insights from his thesis research with farmers who have adopted the solidarity payment system on their farm.
