Join us for a fun and informative working day at a new food forest in Helvoirt, in Brabant (Loonse Baan 1a, Helvoirt).
The food forest is about 2 ha, characterized by plants in tighter rows, with the emphasis on the cultivation of nuts such as hazelnuts, pecans and walnuts and fruit species such as olive willow, nashi pear and persimmon. The remaining part of the food forest will be planted wild with as many special edible species as possible. The first plants were planted in 2019, and this Saturday we will help putting new plants in the ground!

We will leave from Wageningen (parking Radix on campus) at 9:00 and be back at 18:00. Lunch, a tour of the place and a crash course on food forests are provided for free!
We do ask a contribution of 5 euros for travel costs.
