Dear comrades,

The International Day of Peasant Struggles is coming soon and we would like to invite you to a collective farming event in order to work the land together, share a strong collective statement and show solidarity with other land struggles.

With the collaboration of Toekomstboeren, ASEED and Cityplot, the farmers from PLUK CSA are happy to host you for a half day in the fields in order discuss together about national and international peasant struggles, how to give visibility and actively support other grassroots groups working on food sovereignty social/food justice and have further discussion about the agroecology movement in our territories.

But just to be clear, this is not a meeting with an agenda and long powerpoint presentations. This is a gathering, mostly from collectives, comrades and friends who are working on the same topic in order to get together on such an important day. Even if it’s symbolic, we consider that it’s very important to spend that day together and finish with a collective photo/video in order to share it online in solidarity.

When: 17th April
Where: Amsterdam West, Fruittuin van West, PLUK fields “Tom Schreursweg 48, 1067 MC Amsterdam”
Time: 10:30 until 14:00
What to bring: Food to share (potluck), farming clothes, banners related to the topic, brochures and stickers to share

Program proposal of the day:
10:30-11:00 Welcome everyone with coffee, tea and hugs
11:00-12:30 Getting our hands dirty supporting PLUK and Fruittuin van West farmers
12:30-13:15 Shared lunch
