Spring time! Let’s go outside.
It’s full on spring time and time to seed. Wanted to know how the seeds you buy are produced? Join us to the Bolster for a guided tour. Afterwards we will visit the inspiring farm ‘Hof van Twello’, that you may know from its home-made jam, tea garden or the ‘blotevoetenpad’. The farmer will give us a tour showing how he made the farm flourishing again using the concept of small-scale farming. Lunch packs provided by Buijs&Ko

De Bolster is a widely known organic seed producer of the Netherlands. With its 6ha family enterprise it produces a huge variety of vegetable and flower seeds which are used by all kinds of professional and hobby gardeners and horticulturalists. In Wageningen you buy their seeds at Buijs and at Hoge Born.
Hof van Twello is an innovative small scale multifunctional farm. We think it is an interesting place to visit because:
– they have a sharecroppers system, where people use part of the land in exchange for part of their harvest
– they say they dont like to bring crop remainders to a conpost heap but rather leave them on the fields
– they are able to hire 7 people on a 17ha farm
– they write about wild edibles
But maybe you have other reasons to join us visiting this farm, for example that they grow mushrooms or that farmer studied in Wageningen…who knows?

Lentekriebels? Naar buiten!!
Het is volop tuin-tijd. Wilt u weten hoe de zaden die u koopt geproduceerd worden? Laat u meenemen naar de Bolster voor een rondleiding. Ook bezoeken we de inspirerende boerderij “Hof van Twello”, wellicht bekend om haar zelfgemaakte jam, thee-tuin, of het blotevoetenpad. De boer geeft ons uitleg en een tour, waarin hij laat zien hoe hij deze plek tot bloei heeft gebracht, met kleinschaligheid als centraal begrip. Lunchpakketjes worden ons aangeboden door Buijs&Ko

De Bolster is dé biologische zaadproducent van Nederland. Met haar 6ha familiebedrijf produceert het een veelheid aan groente en bloemenzaden voor allerlei professionele en hobby tuinders. In Wageningen koop je hun zaad bij Buijs en de Hoge Born.
Hof van Twello is een innovatief kleinschalig multifunctioneel bedrijf. Volgens ons is het interessant om te bezoeken omdat:
– ze een systeem van meentes hebben, waarbij tuinders een deel van hun oogst als “huur” afstaan
– ze gewasresten liever op de plek laten ipv heen en weer naar een composthoop te brengen
– ze 7 mensen in dienst hebben op slechts 17ha grond
– ze schrijven over wilde eetbare planten
Maar misschien heeft u andere redenen om hun bedrijf te bezoeken, bijvoorbeeld dat ze paddestoelen kweken, of dat de boer in Wageningen heeft gestudeerd, wie weet….?
